The SA Continence Resource Centre is a State-wide continence information and advisory service located at Community and Home Support SA’s Independent Living Centre.
The Continence Resource Centre is affiliated with the Continence Foundation of Australia and funded by the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion.
The Continence Foundation of Australia is a not for profit organisation and the national peak body for continence management promotion and advocacy.
The Continence Foundation of Australia provides the Continence Resource Centre with continence management information, research information, project support, continence literature for distribution in the community and can organise a highly qualified range of speakers able to give education talks and lectures on every aspect of continence problems.
The Resource Centre is able to provide to consumers, information education and advice regarding continence issues, pads and appliances.
The Resource Centre, often with the SA State Branch of the CFA is very active in the provision of education workshops, seminars and forums for Health Professionals and the public. Such meetings occur throughout the year and are advertised on the Events calendar in this website.
The need and role of the SA Continence Resource centre is growing each year as public and health care professionals become more aware of the enormous burden of continence issues and the need and availability of resources to help reduce that burden.
